Adhesive blends are manufactured chemical compositions comprising of mixtures of a modified fatty acid epoxy resin and an oxypropylene epoxy resin. The resulting adhesive paste is incredibly suited for usage as a flat pack adhesive to provide a releasable bond, also making it well suited for applications in space, such as for equipment and machinery for explorations and other missions.
Adhesive blends may be used as substitutes for or in conjunction with other types of adhesives, like glue, cement, mucilage, or other resin-based pastes. They can be used for a wide variety of purposes due to their flexibility and ability to applied to one or two surfaces of two separate items to bind them together and resist their separation. Industrially, they can be used for labeling bottles of beer and other alcoholic beverages, in the process of mixing cement, or building bricks.
