Seidler Chemical Social Responsibility

Social Responsibility Statement

At Seidler Chemical Company, we are committed to conducting our business in a socially responsible and ethical manner. We recognize our responsibility to contribute positively to the business and social communities that supports us.

We recycle as much as we can. Seidler is committed to reducing its ecological footprint by encouraging alternative transportation methods for commuting (biking, walking, carpooling, etc.). Our management is on a committee that supports our beautiful new RiverFront Park, and provides financial assistance to provide art, physical fitness, and athletic programs for our neighborhood youth, adults and seniors.

Working Environment:

At Seidler Chemical our employees are our most important asset. We are proud to provide a work environment where employees are appreciated, valued and given regular feedback. As a leadership team we provide an 'open door' policy for concerns, thoughts and feedback for and from all employees. We promote based on merits and skill and do not discriminate based on age, color, creed or relationship orientation.

We recognize parental and family obligations of our employees and ensure that all staff members are supported by being flexible with their hours, or allowing them personal time on short notice. Seidler is a working environment where all are encouraged to develop their skills, both in their job in their work environment and in their lives as a whole. It is our goal to make Seidler Chemical Company an enjoyable and fulfilling place to work.

We take Customer Service to new levels:

Seidler Chemical serves a growing national and international clientele by offering extra-ordinary customer service and product management. We take the extra step to “wow” our customers, vendors, competitors and even our neighbors. We look to become the premier chemical distributor in the northeast by answering this question: “If I were the customer how would I want to be treated?” Our team members work together to enhance the productivity and satisfaction of each other as well as our entire business network.

Management Commitment:

The Seidler Chemical management team meets at least quarterly to ensure adherence to responsible operation of its business. Since January 1, 2012 Seidler has committed to publicly disclose its environ-mental progress as well as any fines and/or violations received.

As part of the State of New Jersey DEP’s DPCC program, Seidler does extensive training on safety and safe handling of chemicals, with at least one session per month, and extensive training for new employees.

Supporting the community:

We actively support non-profit organizations within our local community and around the world. We do this by donating financially as well as serving on non-profit committees in our local community. As mentioned above we sponsor many programs for our community, and recently had a 2000 square foot mural painted on the side of our warehouse, scripted by a community artist and a team of local talent. The mural depicts a social history of the city of Newark and its bordering Passaic River, and at its top proclaims the cry of the founding fathers of Newark in 1666: “Founded to be the closest place to heaven on earth.”

At Seidler Chemical, we are passionate about making our community & world a better place to live.
